Obituary for Lamberto Lozano Pangilinan

Lamberto (Bert) Pangilinan died Tuesday April 3, 2018 after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure. He was the first of 15 children born in Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines to Adriano Pangilinan and Rosario Lozano. He grew up during World War II where his father Adriano served in the US Army helping MacArthur liberate the Philippines. Married Adelaida Vengazo on January 27, 1963 in the Philippines; they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year (2018). He was a rubber chemist in the Philippines before immigrating to the US in August 1969. He and his family were able to become US citizens in 1976 due to his father’s service in the US Army in World War II. Worked as a Facilities Manager for the Sacramento City Unified School District for 23 years. Survived by two children, Antonette Harris (Patrick) and Luis, and six grandchildren: Rhian Harris, Jordan Harris, Emilie Harris, William Harris, Ozara de Jesus and Kyle Pangilinan. He is pre-deceased by his parents and siblings, Rudolfo, Elizabeth, Teresita, Lario, and survived by siblings, Zenaida, Guadalupe, Seguindina, Leticia, Alexander, Danilo and Mary Lou.
Viewing/visitation on Friday, April 20, 4 to 6 pm at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento (916-732-2020), with Rosary/Vigil to follow at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, April 21, at 12:30 pm at St. Stephen the First Martyr Catholic Church, 5461 44th Street, Sacramento. Interment of casket to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento.
