Our family has several loved ones interred at East Lawn now, we visit often and are always happy with the upkeep through the seasons and kindness of the staff. Perfect place for a walk or a picnic too. Thank you for offering such a beautiful and peaceful place, sending lots of love. 💌

I attended a memorial for a coworker recently. I knew it was expensive because the 2-hour memorial was held in the chapel (which was nice) and there was an open casket. The remains had also been refrigerated for 2 weeks (or more). The price list is super general, so it doesn't break down the cost for everything, but I'm guessing it was about $10K or more. Maybe upwards of $15K. There aren't any casket prices or grave liner costs on the list, let alone mention of graveside activities ($$$), such as opening and closing, which ised to run about $1K back in the day. My coworker had a cardiac arrest, so her face would have looked very bruised. Again, her remains were refrigerated for a few weeks as well. The latter may have had more of an affect on the face's discoloration, but I wouldn't know. Nonetheless, whoever did her makeup didn't take the discoloration into account. Her face color wasn't even close to the rest of the exposed skin. It was a dark, gray-brown. Her shoulders were pale white and dimpled. I mention this because my grandfather died of cardiac arrest and stroke in 1971, yet his remains looked pretty lifelike despite the fact that his cause of death caused facial discoloration. His face wasn't discolored at his wake. People actually commented about how good he looked. This is a roundabout way of saying that the makeup artist at East Lawn Folsom Blvd. needs some help. Maybe more training. Also, the casketing could have been better. They could have made her remains look better. Lose the pillow under head and place it under her shoulders or neck so she wouldn't look as if she had a goiter (which she didn't have when she was alive). As I mentioned, the extended refrigeration ($125.00 / day) may have caused some problems. But given the investment made by the family, I think East Lawn Folsom could have stepped up their game. They could have suggested better clothing for the remains. Maybe they did, but what she was wearing was a mistake. Or they could have made all of her exposed skin look the same. (Make an effort, folks!) Anyhow, I wanted to like you, East Lawn. I but I didn't. Not too much.

Thank you to the staff of Eastlawn, Folsom Blvd for the concern, care and professionalism felt by our family during the recent passing of our dear Mother. Dennis Early and Victor Xiong are both exceptional. We are pleased with our decision in choosing Eastlawn.

The kindness and professionalism of the staff is wonderful. I chose East Lawn because of their reputation, East Sacramento grounds and historical building (go on the tours - beautiful and historic!). Additionally, when it was time for my parents to be picked up, after they passed away, the same two amazing gentlemen wearing suits arrived quietly, respectfully and with more dignity I've ever seen taking away loved ones. They are employees of East Lawn, (NOT an agency that puts loved ones in black bags and either on a gurney or just carries the black bags out). These two gentlemen who took my parents (once in the early morning hours, the other time late at night) arrived quietly, with dignity, wrapped my parents gently in white sheets before placing them gently on a gurney then covering them with a fitted blanket. It was ceremonial, compared to "efficient." It gave me a lot of comfort to witness such care.

I received a phone call from April at East Lawn Elk Grove and set up an appointment on a Saturday to pick up some paperwork for the columbarium I purchased for my mom’s ashes. This was my first time meeting April; she was knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. I answered all my questions about the one I purchased for my mom and another I might purchase. She is very professional! The lady working at the reception counter is also amiable and polite. The Memorial Park and all the buildings there are always kept up very well. It is beautiful and in the best condition. East Lawn Elk Grove is an excellent place for your loved one to rest in peace.

My father is laid to rest here. It is very peaceful and can be very calming to come sit down. They have events such as Memorial Day, in which I attended a few in past years for my father, who is a Vietnam US Army veteran. They do a great job coordinating for families and putting up decorations like putting up these flags. Updating my review as of March 2025: This place is still as amazing as when we laid my father to rest. I visit him often when I am able to, and the grounds are always well kept and grass cut. I am a military spouse who moves often, and when I return back to town, this is always one of my first stops back. Thank you for taking care of the many loved ones laid to rest here, including my father. I am always met with warmth.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Lai Vaituulala, Family Service Counselor at East Lawn, Elk Grove. I cannot say enough about her compassion, her professionism, her attention to detail, the one on one service she provided. Lai made it possible for me to handle my grief and get through a very difficult time. I cannot thank her enough for being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on.

East Lawn Elk Grove's recent Holiday Remembrance event was a truly touching and well-organized tribute to loved ones. The event was made even more special by the thoughtful words and compassionate presence of Victor Sanchez. Victor’s introductions of the musical artist and pastor were seamless and heartfelt, setting the tone for a meaningful evening. His guidance during the candle-in-the-sand ceremony was particularly poignant, creating a serene and reflective moment for all attendees. Seeing my father’s photo included in the slideshow brought a wave of nostalgia and a sense of peace. Victor’s speech on loss and love resonated deeply, offering comfort and understanding during a difficult time. The after-event snacks and hot apple cider provided a warm and inviting atmosphere for attendees to connect with one another and share memories. I extend my sincere gratitude to East Lawn Elk Grove and especially to Victor Sanchez for hosting such a beautiful and well-executed event.

East Lawn is an immaculately kept cemetery. The staff was professional and caring when we requested their services at the time we had to bury my brother. I felt my brother was I. Good hands and he looked so Gael groomed the time of his services. He looked like himself not overly made up with make up. He looked peaceful. Our overall experience, including cost, was excellent.

We visited the Garden of Honor on Memorial Day and the place was beautiful. We returned more recently to visit my Father and wish him a Happy Birthday and, yes, the place looked beautiful again. Thank you to the East Lawn staff for your dedicated service.

If you're looking for a funeral home and find yourself looking through the reviews. Look no further!! This funeral home met all of our expectations and went above and beyond to meet our family needs. They were very compassionate and understanding. I hope I don't ever need their services again. However, if I do I wouldn't think twice to reach out to them. Madison was an angel sent from heaven. My son knew what he was doing when he guided us to this funeral home. His funeral service was so breathtaking 💙🙏

A beautiful expanse of green lawns and mortuaries. There is even a pet cemetery in the far right corner of the lawn. There are so many impressive monuments to appreciate. I find this place to be a very peaceful place to walk around.

I owe a lot to this location and it's staff particularly the manager Victor Sanchez. He not only assured my family that he would be the one helping my family through the process but unlike other companies out there, he actually followed through. So whenever a loved one passed, my family and I knew just who to call. The service they offer was top notch and it made for a perfect send off for my loved ones. Victor is the sole reason I will be using this location for services in the future. He was not just professional but REAL to the point where I felt he sincerely has our best interest at heart. I truly can't recommend this location enough. Thank you East Lawn and God bless you Victor!

Gratitude from the families we have served.

Former Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson

From the first time I walked in they were very eager to answer all my questions and address my concerns, and offer help whenever and wherever needed.

Heidi led me through the entire process and checked in on me periodically.

Cory was very helpful when I was looking for a potential plot, and explained the process and the pricing.

Very caring, yet very professional

Eva M. Escobedo

My questions got answered right away whether I was there or calling in.

Funeral Director was most helpful getting me what I wanted.

Jacqueline Ann Meyer

Chloe, Heidi, and Preston made everything so easy for my father’s funeral service. They paid attention to the fine details and were very personable and relatable. I am very appreciative of their knowledge and expertise in this difficult time.

Chloe was our main contact and she responded quickly to emails, phone calls, and drop ins. She paid attention to fine details like the pallbearer’s arm bands, taking care of the flowers, making the room look beautiful, making everything flow seamlessly.

Preston handled the burial and marker side. I have some questions about the government markers and am still working with Preston. He also was able to get a second tent set up by the burial site for guest in the hot sun on short notice. Many guests told me how they appreciated that.

Stacey Sanchez

Professionalism and kindness.

Heidi and Chleo assisted me…they took me gently through the details of their services and purchases.

Additionally, when my parents did pass away (three months apart) because I had made prior arrangements with East Lawn, when hospice called them two of the kindest gentlemen (who are employees of East Lawn and NOT an agency), Audel and Erick, arrived both times dressed in suits, quietly, respectfully, gently wrapped my parents in white sheets, placed them gently on a gurney and put a fitted blanket over them before taking them from their room. They also placed them gently into the van before they transported them to East Lawn where they were cremated.

I also enjoy the tours of the cemetery. I still have to do the inside one.
