William F. Svoboda, born January 16, 1929 to Anton & Lillian Svoboda. Brother to Tom & Helen. Devoted husband, widower, to Erma. Loving father of Ken, Sandy, Linda, & Nick. Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Companion to Nancy Oprsal.
Known by many different names, Wm. F., Dad, Bill, Little Bill, Uncle Bill and Grandpa. Loved by all. He served in the Korean War, retired from Campbell Soup co. After 35 years. His 1st job was at the age of 7 and he never stopped working hard to support his family. He is a believer in Christ and was baptized in his 70â€™s. Dad has now gone to be with the Lord and to receive his reward for a life of hard work and devotion.
Dad was a man of many talents and interests. Hunting, traveling, camping, cruising, gardening, & harness racing, He would make his own jellies and can his fruits and vegetables. Dad enjoyed his life and was always busy doing something. He walked up to 10 miles a day. When he could he would eat desserts for breakfast and Pepsi is his drink of choice.
Dad taught by example and was always a man of his word and of integrity.
The service will take place at Southside Community Church, 8990 Gerber Rd., on Friday April 20, 2012 at 2 pm
