Obituary

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, William “Bill” Bouzeneris, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 89. Bill was born on August 21, 1930, in French Camp, California. He attended Ripon Grammar School, and he graduated from Manteca High School in 1948. During the Korean War, Bill honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954, serving two tours around the world. After returning home, he attended Modesto Junior College. Bill met and married the love of his life, Evelyn Dannelley, in 1956 and soon became the loving father of Michael and Carol. He was a loyal employee at Pacific Bell Telephone Company (now AT&T) for 37 years.

Bill was known for his sense of humor. He was always joking, and his friends called him Maytag because he was an agitator—he “stirred the pot.” He and Evelyn enjoyed many trips in their motorhome, travelling all over the United States with their lifelong friends John and Eleanor Vierra. Bill loved watching his great-grandchildren play, and he enjoyed gardening and tinkering around their property in Elk Grove, California.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Emmanuel Bouzeneris and Helen Manolarakis (Manos) Bouzeneris; his sister, Athena; and his brothers, George, Andrew, and Gus. He is survived by his devoted wife, Evelyn Dannelley Bouzeneris; his son, William (Michael) (wife Daniella Bouzeneris) and his daughter, Carol (husband Ed Dyer). He leaves behind his grandchildren Nicholas Dyer (wife Cindy), William and Jordan Bouzeneris, Andreea (husband Daniel Nagy), Flavius Lupse (wife Sara), Timothy Lupse (wife Jenna), and his adoring great-grandchildren, Gustavious Dyer, Leonidas Dyer, Theopulus Dyer, Shakur Bouzeneris, Reagan Lupse, Carson Lupse, Liam Lupse,Samuel Lupse, Eli Lupse, Sophia Nagy, Jacob Nagy, and Johnathan Nagy. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
