Obituary

Victor Emmanuel “Noel” Alcañeses Cadiz passed away peacefully at the South Sacramento Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on August 4, 2015 in Sacramento, California at the age of 62.
Victor is survived by his wife Bem, children Bing and Irene, sons-in-law Chris and Ren, and grandchildren Laurie, Emily, Noelle, and Abigail.
Victor was born on April 2, 1953 in Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines to Dr. and Mrs. Leoncio Cadiz. He attended the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, majoring in Agricultural Studies and was an active member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. He married Bem in 1979 and the couple was happily married for 36 years. For more than 20 years, they called the Sacramento/Elk Grove area home.
His family and friends remember Victor as a generous, kind, funny, and loving man whose passion for cooking, family, and laughter will never be forgotten. He was a father, brother, and friend to many.

A wake is scheduled from Wednesday, August 12 through Friday, August 14 from 5 to 8 PM at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park and Mortuary. A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday, August 15 at 12 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The committal ceremony and burial will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary with a reception to follow at the Holiday Inn Express Elk Grove. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Victor’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to East Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary.
