Tom, sweet Tom, my close friend and neighbor for over 41 years. While he will be missed by all of us on Terilyn St., words come hard to express my sorrow and how very much I miss him. Things simply won’t ever be the same. I am so grateful for knowing Tom, my kind, mild-mannered, generous and always helpful friend. We shared our cooking back and forth;he’d always ask if I needed anything at Raley’s or Sam’s Club; he fixed anything/everything that needed repair in and outside of my home. So many jobs big and small and routinely. For instance I haven’t rolled a garbage or recyle bin up from my sidewalk for many years, Tom did that for me. How kind and good he was and such a pleasure to know. He was young at heart and it didn’t take much at all to bring that smile. His wonderful spirit has earned him a box seat in heaven. My sympathy to Tom’s entire family and Sue Thompson who was so good to him and gave him a soft place to fall over these last few years. Sincerely, Sandy Englund

To Steve & Doug, we are so saddened that your dad has left us. He was a good friend & neighbor for 47 years. He played golf with Don & they often attended the SIR golf luncheons together. On lawn mowing day,he’d hear us outside working & take the opportunity to walk to our house to visit. Tom was just always just such a nice, soft spoken guy. The neighborhood won’t be the same without him. May he rest in peace & we know in heaven, his golf game is now perfect. Our hearts grieve with yours. our love to you & all the family, Don & Carol Hoerl
