Teruko 'Terry' Clark
Dec 14, 1931 - Sep 20, 2014
Our beloved mother, Teruko Clark, aged 82 years, passed away on September 20th, to be with her loving husband Neal, and loving son, Jeffrey. As in life, she was surrounded with loving care by her family. She is deeply loved and missed by her children, Katherine (Scott), David (Patty), Daniel (Nobuko), Kristine, and Mark (Carmela). She was a proud Nana to Robbie, Ryan, Alyssa, Ricky, Ella, David Jr., Brian, Jennifer, Brad, Julia, and Brennan. Teruko “Terry”, grew up in Osaka, Japan during WWII. Despite the obvious hardships of a child growing up during war, she taught herself English and worked at a military base in Gifu, Japan. It was there that she met her husband, Neal. They soon moved to the United States, and she eventually went back to work at McClellan A.F.B. Together they raised six children, and built a wonderful life together. She had such a wonderful strong enthusiasm, natural curiosity, unwavering optimism, and contagious joy that allowed her to live her life to the fullest. Her many hobbies included gardening, travel, painting, cooking, chess, and the list kept growing as she rarely turned down an opportunity to learn something new. Her greatest pride and joy by far, however, was her family of whom she was fiercely proud, and their biggest supporter for achievements big and small. Her love and support will continue to comfort, her strength will continue to instill and motivate, and her legacy will continue to live on in her family. Love you, Mama and Nana. We will always be together until we meet again. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 26th at East Lawn, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento.
