Sylvia “Tillie” Lee Yuke, 72, of Sacramento, California, went to be with the Lord peacefully on March 6, 2012, at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, surrounded by family. Sylvia was born August 22, 1939 in Sacramento, California, the daughter of Ah Wah and Jean Hon Yee Lee. She was the youngest of 6 siblings. She attended Sacramento City College and worked as a draftsman for Ralph’s Distributing Company. She married in 1962 and had 3 children. She returned to the home to lovingly raise her 3 children, actively involved in their many school, sports and other extra-curricular programs. She later returned to work for the State of California in the 1980s, retiring in 2004 as a Senior Accounting Analyst for the Employment Development Department with 25 years of service. Sylvia was proud of her Sacramento heritage and loved vacations with her family, travel, Broadway musicals, going to Sacramento Kings and San Francisco Giants games, and spending time with her 4 grandchildren. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Karen Yuke; son, Patrick Yuke; daughter, Leanne Yuke; grandchildren, Kyle and Alyssa Yuke, and Elijah and Jadon Lin; sisters, Lily Chinn, Maryanne Yee and Barbara Chew; and brother, Sooky Lee, all of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Leong. Sylvia touched the lives of all that knew her with her warmth, generosity, beauty, style and grace. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 12:00 noon at St Anthony Parish, 660 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA 95831. Memorial donations may be made to the Sutter Cancer Center, Sacramento; Asian Community Center, Sacramento; or Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation
