Obituary

SETTJE, Steven Duane
Steve was born on June 21, 1954 in Oak Park, Illinois. With great sadness, he was taken from us suddenly on May 12, 2011. He grew up in South Sacramento and attended Luther Burbank High School. Steve played baseball with the Airport little league. He went on to enjoy hunting, joining a Jeep club, then becoming an owner in his own 4-wheel drive shop (Valley 4-Wheel Drive) in Sacramento. Steve was an avid golfer at a young age and became a teaching-pro at Del Paso Country Club. Steve and his family were members at Valley High Country Club for over 20 years, where Steve enjoyed many good times golfing with family and friends. He worked for Video Service Centers, opening many of the first video stores in the Sacramento area, then moving on to Video Product Distributors, where he was Vice President of Sales. Steve and his son became interested in Karting. Steve became the Track Steward for ‘Blue Max Kart Club’ in Davis, and earned a coveted honorary lifetime membership in 2009 in recognition of his contributions to the club. Steve was preceded in death by his brother John Michael in 1964, mother Erma L. Settje 1984 and father John (Jack) Settje 1996. Survived by his loving son Jonathon D. Settje of Prudenville, MI., sister Diana Settje of Sacramento, brother Kevin (Patti) Settje, nephew Parker Settje (great niece Aiyanna) Uncle Jim Johnson of Sacramento, the Family of Mark and Cindy Robinson of Davis, and many other relatives and friends.
