Shirley Ann Kemmis-Wolfe

Shirley was born on May 21, 1930 to Edythe and Henry Crowe in Fargo, North Dakota and passed away on November 6, 2011 at the age of 81 from breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley married Melvin J. Kemmis on February 18, 1946 in Fargo, North Dakota. They had four children, Toni Perrault, Douglas Kemmis, Michael Kemmis, and Sharleen Hoth. Melvin passed away in 1988.
She married Daryl Wolfe in Sacramento, CA in 1990. Daryl passed away in 2007.
Shirley was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Crosby, North Dakota. She also served as past president of the Carmichael Emblem Club 355 in Carmichael, CA. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church for 22 years and was involved with the Woman of Life and Service Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her daughter Toni and her son Mike. She is survived by her son Doug (Jane) and her daughter Sharleen (Don), sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren. She is also survived by five brothers, Harold, Ronald (Lorraine), Arthur (Kay), James (Carol), and Gary Crowe (LeAnne).
Shirley’s legacy is her family, she would drop whatever she was doing if one of her family needed her and she taught them to do the same. She was blessed with a faith in Jesus that she instilled in her children as well. “We are going to miss you Mom!”
Services for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 12:00 noon at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church located at 8701 Elk Grove Florin Road Elk Grove, CA 95624.
Burial will be private.
