Ruth Berniel Bailey passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2019. She was born on November 10, 1932 in Sidon, Mississippi. She was joined in matrimony to her beloved husband Nathaniel Bailey Sr. on May 15, 1954. Ruth and Nathaniel traveled as he served in the Air Force until he retired in North Highlands, CA at McClellan AFB. They were blessed with 3 children.
Ruth was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Nathaniel Bailey Sr., parents Johnny and Minnie Lee Jones; 2 brothers, M.P. Jones and Edward Jones and 3 sisters, Lillie Usher, Earlene Smith and Delores Bell.
Her vibrant personality and beautiful smile will be missed deeply by her family: Daughters, La Tina Gago (Switch) of Antelope, Patrice Bailey of Las Vegas, Nevada, Son, Nathaniel Bailey, Jr. (Shannan) of North Highlands. Grandson, Anthony Gago (Mara/gf), Granddaughters, Leilani (Jay/bf), Ciara (Chris/bf), Mya-Alannah, and Neha. Great-grandsons, Kao and Anthony Jr. (AJ).
Brothers: Albert (Dorothy) Jones, Charles (Edna) Jones, Reverend Odell Jones, Melvin (Josie) Jones, Harvey (Dora) Jones, Sisters: Christine Buchanan, Bertha Victor, Edna Henard, Daisy Jones and Evangelist Rubye (Reverend Thomas) Parker as well as a devoted caregiver, La Tonya Kennedy and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Viewing: Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00pm East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841 916-732-2020. Funeral/Celebration of Life Service: Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 11:00 – 1:00pm, New Testament Baptist Church, 6746 34th Street, North Highlands, CA 95660 916-344-0440
Burial service immediately following at East Lawn Sierra Hills on Greenback Lane

    Bailey family I am sorry for your huge loss. My condolences to all family members. I remember when mom Bailey prepared her famous chicken and dumplings for my nephews services. Everyone raved about her cooking. I will miss my dropp by visits. She will be missed. I love you mom BaileyπŸ₯°
