劉如舜先生於2022年10月25日在沙加緬度橡樹療養院在家人的陪伴下安詳離世, 享年92岁。他的葬禮將於2022年11月22日11時在加利福尼亞州沙加緬度福爾松大道 4300號東方墓園舉行。

劉如舜先生於1930年6月26日出生於中國廣東台山,父親劉谷维,母親陳秋好。他年輕時在水步鎮政府工作,致力於幫助農民提高農業技術和改善生活。他五十岁歲出頭從鎮政府退休后出任水步華僑聯合會主席,任職将近二十年。他还兼職《水步僑刊》雜誌各項工作。 上个世纪的八,九十年代,僑刊是華僑華人了解家乡的主要媒介。在担任水步僑聯會主席期間,他幫助許多海外華人解決了他們在中國的房屋的歷史遗留問題。同時,他聯絡和發動海外僑胞向家乡捐款,用於修建道路,學校和敬老院。

劉如舜先生與蔡松秀女士於1960年結婚,婚後育有兩個女兒。他於2001年移民美國加州沙加緬度. 為这里的中华學校服务多年。業餘時間,他喜歡閱讀和寫詩。



Mr. Rushun Liu, 92, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2022 at the Midtown Oak Nursing Home with his family by his bedside. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, Ca. 95819.

Mr. Rushun Liu was born on June 26, 1930 in Taishan Guangdong of China to Guwei Liu and Qiuhao Chen. He worked at the local government of Shuibu to help farmers improve agriculture. He retired from the local government in his early 50s. After his retirement from the government, he worked as the president of the Shuibu Overseas Chinese Federation for nearly twenty years. He also heavily involved in the Shuibu Overseas Chinese Magazine. During his time working for the Shuibu Overseas Chinese Federation, he helped many Overseas Chinese resolving the historical issues with their houses/properties in China. In the meantime, he encouraged and liaised with Overseas Chinese to make donations to their villages for building of roads, schools, and activity centers for senior citizens.

Mr. Rushun Liu married Mrs. Songxiu Cai in August 1960 and raised two daughters. He immigrated to the U. S. in 2001 and contributed tremendously to the Confucian Chinese School. In his spare time, he loved reading and writing poems.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, sons-in-law, a granddaughter, and two grandsons.
