Raglen, Ronald Colman
“Smiling at the 19th Hole”
Ronald Raglen born December 8, 1937 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and raised in West Sacramento passed at the age of 77 surrounded by family and friends in his home on December 5, 2015. Ron’s unexpected passing was caused by an aggressive cancer that only God can comfort and embrace.
Ronald attended Woodland High School and James Marshall High School and enlisted in the Air Force in April 1955 and honorably discharged in 1959. Ron started his career as a machinist at Wemco (1959-1982); worked for his brother at Raglen Balance Systems (1982-1985) and retired from Aerojet in 2001.
Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Corraine Raglen of 45 years; Colman and Hazel Raglen (parents); Linda Kay Whitten (sister in-law): and Roberta Renoude Woodard (mother in-law).
He is survived by his son Ronald Raglen (Michelle); daughter Theresa Raglen and grandson Michael Dean Raglen.
Ron will be fondly remembered by his brother Leon Raglen (Gail); Phillip Raglen (Janet); and sister Dixie Flahive (Gary); and nieces Danielle, Heather, Kerry, Laurie, Shelbi and Tracey; and nephews Corey, Greg, Lance, Levi, and Ryan; and brother-in-law Robert Renoude (Barbara).
Ron touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. His love for golf was not only for the athleticism, commemoratory and enjoyment, but his time to be with God. His other love was his commitment to the San Francisco 49er, a fan since 1949.
