Roberta Culpepper Donovan, 72, of Sacramento, California passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday May 5th, 2013.
Born in Sacramento on September 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Helen Dedman & and the late Robert Culpepper, both descendants of Sacramento pioneers.
Roberta was a loving mother and is survived by her four children Ted, Susan, Craig, and Reid; daughters in-law Christie and Georgette; grandson Sam. In addition, she is survived by sister Nancy Furman and her husband George; sister Carol Heikkila and her husband Brian; brother Erle Culpepper and his wife Maureen; four nieces and two nephews; she also leaves behind numerous cousins and extended family.
Roberta attended Sacramento High School before attending UC Berkeley where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. Roberta enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Sacramento area Realtor with a passion for helping her clients find their dream homes. Roberta loved entertaining and hosted countless parties in Sacramento and was an active volunteer in her community. As an avid bridge player and member of the â€œDining Divasâ€ dinner group, Roberta had a close group of wonderful friends with whom she shared much laughter and wonderful memories. She will be missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday May 10th, 2013 at the East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, located at 43rd & Folsom Blvd in Sacramento. Visitation time with family and friends will begin at 12:00, followed by her Memorial service at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the preferred charity of the donor’s choice.
