A celebration of life from a man whose life is well lived A man who is well loved . The man we are blessed to call father. Ricardo Valdez Estrada was born on 4/23/1924. The youngest son of Sixto and Donata Estrada. Ricardo was married to Anita Lugtu Estrada for 67 years. Blessed with 7 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. As a husband, he had given his unconditional love to his loving wife Anita who passed at the age of 85 on May 3, 2016.
As a father, Ricardo worked hard as a contractual Civil Engineer at the Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. He ensured the best education for his children who all have completed a degree in college namely physician, nurses, engineers, architect and accountant. Ricardo and Anita referred to their children as their “golden jewels”.
Ricardo was a man of few words whose integrity was unwavering. A hiighly. intellectual man. At 94, he remembered everyone he met and the places where he met them. He was very good with direction without maps. He was named Valedictorian from a trade school where he completed woodworking. Ricardo had a chance to visit his old school recently where he was honored as the oldest alumnus.
Ricardo enjoyed listening to music from Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and the Glen Miller Band.. He graced the dance floor with wife Anita dancing rumba, cha-cha. tango and boogie. He enjoyed playing golf and won a few tournaments. He received black belt recognition in Judo and Taekwondo. Ricardo is very stylish, enjoys dressing up and is truly a man of class.
On behalf of his children Mila, Nina, Ricardo Jr., Noel, Marites, Arnel and Angie; sons in law Joe, Don and Gilby; daughters in law Merlie and Ran; grandchildren Joseph and wife Irene, Aisa, Lianne, Ryan and wife Jane, Shella, Raffy, Richmond, Thea, Nico, Raine, Olivia and Gio; ; great grandchildren Isaac, Jacob and Julia we thank each and everyone of you for remembering our father Riccardo through your prayers and for sending your love and warm thoughts to the whole family during this most difficult time.
