    Rey made a point of stopping by my office when he returned to work just a short while ago. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I have known Rey for many years and he always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to work with. My condolences to all of Rey’s family. Rey, you will be missed.

    I had the pleasure of commuting with Rey to and from work on a number of occasions the last few weeks. We talked about many things but a key topic was always family and his love for his family was evident in the stories that he shared with me. Rey exhibited a kind and generous heart to whoever he encountered throughout his work day and I looked forward to getting to know him better. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they mourn the loss of a most gracious man. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

    Jeremiah 29:11 It seems like it was just yesterday when me and Rey used to talked about LIFE- Funny stories, job, home, retirements, investments and GOALS to be achieved. That was 11 years ago.     Rey was a good friend that we all will miss. He was a very hard worker and he dedicated a lot of his life to Bio-Rad. I shared many laughs with Rey while we worked on projects and I can still picture his wonderful smile as I remembered the good times that we had telling jokes and solving problem at the same time.     I had the pleasure of first attending an ISO auditor training with Rey in 2003. When I moved to Hercules in 2006, Rey was one of the first people to welcome me and show me around the 6000 building. He was a kind and generous man who will be sorely missed. He was an honest hard working individual who was able to maintain a positive attitude through difficult times. Ray understood the importance of Customer Satisfaction and the value of teamwork. Rey is someone I aspire to be more like, and his actions always benefited Bio-Rad. Below is a small paragraph from his 2012 review that shows his value to the Mechanical Supply Chain Team. “Ray did an outstanding job during the 2012 review cycle as he has in previous years. He achieved his objectives without missing a beat on day-by-day activities. He nailed Work Effectiveness Behaviors by becoming a Greenbelt and reducing inventory >$1.2M. He managed the procurement of Proteon items and helped others when in need of assistance. After Ray went out on MLOA I quickly realized his value to the Mechanical Supply Chain Team.
