Regina Isaac

Regina Isaac was born on July 22, 1948, in Harlingen, Texas to Bonnie McLauglin and Iris Henderson. In 1960, she moved to Los Angeles, California and attended Our Lady Queen of the Angels High School and graduated in 1966.

Regina met Kenneth J. Isaac, the love of her life, in 1966. They were married on June 15, 1968. In July of 1969, they were blessed with the birth of their first daughter, Cheryl Marie Isaac and in November 1970 they were blessed again with the birth of their second daughter, Angela Michelle Isaac. Regina and Kenneth moved to Sacramento in 1970, where she later started her career with the State of California. Regina worked 25 years and retired as a Personnel Analyst from the California Youth Authority in October 2005.

Regina enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her four grandchildren whom she loved dearly, they were her life. She also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to some of her favorite destinations such as Las Vegas, Monterey and Southern California.

On the evening of November 7, 2011, Regina passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Elk Grove, California after battling cancer. She will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices that she is at peace and in Heaven with Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her mother Iris Holland, stepfather Henry Holland, and grandmother Georgia Brown. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Isaac, daughters Cheryl Isaac and Angela Scott (Mark), sister Jackie Gillespie (Edward), brother Charles Holland and grandchildren Gabrielle, Sydney, Mikayla and Jayden, and many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 660 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA 95831. A seperate private inurnment will be held by the family at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances, in Regina’s name, may be made to the Cancer Organization of your choice.

    My thoughts and prayers are with Regina’s family during this difficult time. When I first began state service in 1986, I had the pleasure of working with Regina. She was always very kind and patient with me and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.

I always had great respect for Regina and I am very thankful for the time we spent together.
