Rama Moretti, 93, passed away peacefully at The Berkshire in Napa on Aug. 4, 2011, of natural causes.
She was born in Alta Vista, Kan., on Nov. 6, 1917, to Emil and Grace (Brown) Brolyer and grew up on the family farm. She married Henry Moretti of Santa Rosa in 1939. They lived in Sacramento, where Henry worked for Lentz Construction. Their sons, Gary and Tony, were born in 1942 and 1944.
Rama was a member of the Mayflower Society and NSDAR.
She was predeceased by her husband and both sons; twin brother, Kay Brolyer; sisters, Hyral Quinlan (Napa) and Revé O’Brien; niece, Patricia Drouillard; and grand-niece, Debra Estes.
She is survived by four nieces and two nephews: Dennis (Rosemarie) Quinlan (Napa), Sharon (Max) Sanders (Napa), Joyce (John) Estes (Vallejo), Kathy (Jerry) Lund (Rocklin), Anne Cotter (Clovis), and Jim O’Brien (Michigan). Numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews also survive her.
