Patricia (Patty) Lee Dowell
Patty was born October 31, 1964 in Avon IL and passed away in Elk Grove on September 24, 2011. She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 18 years Steven Dowell, loving sons David Hurd and Craig Dowell, mother Sandra Palmer, brother Gary Tarvin, sister Lisa Cabanas and many extended family and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her father Riley Williams and her brother Andy Williams.
She moved to California in 1985 and has worked for the County of Sacramento for the last 21 years where she formed many close and long lasting friendships. Patty’s most prized accomplishment in life were her two boys. She loved them more than words can express. Loving, devoted she was their biggest fan on and off the sports field. Mom’s nightly “backies” will be deeply missed. Patty loved her friends, pets (Pearl, Wee-Bay, Skittles, and Marley), sewing, crafts, garage sales, games, festivals, bunko, her “Bloomies” sweatshirt, and being the house mom to the neighborhood kids. Patty’s door was always open to everyone.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove CA 95624.

Patty was my cousin and a good friend in high school. We had alot of lasting memories spending weekends at our grandparents farm. espicially the time we tried to make peanut butter cookies with “frozen farm fresh eggs” so we decided to just leave them out!! Poor grandpa ate them but not even the dog would otherwise. We have not stayed in touch for that I am deeply sorry. She will be very missed. I love you patty! hope someday to meet davey and craig again.
