Opal Lamb was born on February 21, 1922 in Paragould Arkansas.  She went home to be with the Lord on July 13 2012.  She was preceded in death by her husband Garlan Lamb and grand daughter Lorrie Guerra.  She is survived by her son Rick Lamb and his wife Marieda of Clarksburg CA, her daughter Linda Azevedo and her husband John of Elk Grove CA, also her daughter Janie Wisdom of North Highlands CA..

She is survived by seven grandchildren, Kathy Ramirez of Elk Grove CA, Brandon Folkes of Clarksburg CA, Scott Azevedo of Roseville CA, Johnnie O’Mara of Clarksburg CA, Cory Wisdom of West Sacramento CA, and Donovan Wisdom of Roseville CA. She also has many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her Sister’s Elizabeth folks and Roma Lee Sessum.

Opal was a stay at home wife and mother.  She loved keeping the household in order with delicious meals on the table daily.  She loved to cook and clean. Yes!  I said clean.  There was no mess she couldn’t conquer.  Now when it came to baking she could have put any bakery out of business.  People would come to her home in anticipation of her cakes and pies.

She also loved to garden, she always had a beautiful yard and most of the time a vegetable garden.  She canned every year and there was always home made jam.

Her church was most important to her.  She loved the Lord and had many good friends where ever she went.

She and Garlan could be spotted on many occasions with their best friends Huey and Loretta Walls.  If walls could talk! (No pun intended.)  We have heard story’s that would fill a book. We’re told Lucy, Ricky, Ethel and Fred had nothing on them.

She had a good long life and now is with her beloved husband.  We will all miss her but there is rejoicing in Heaven today.

Funeral services for Opal will be held on Friday July 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, located at 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove, CA 95624.  All are welcome to attend.
