WORSLEY, Norma Rae Duncan
May 4, 1915 to May 30, 2011
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home.
She was the daughter of Irene and Charles Haller of Williams, Ca. Norma, along with her twin sister, Ramona Duncan Harmeson were born in Capay Valley, Ca. Ramona preceded Norma in death as did Norma’s husband of over 50 years, Dr. Albert E. Worsley.
In 1940, Norma married Albert, who was her first grade childhood sweetheart, in Williams, CA. They made their home in Sacramento after WWII where Albert practiced dentistry for over 40 years. They were long time members of Del Paso Country Club, where they enjoyed their friends, social functions and playing golf. Norma’s petite frame belied a wicked swing.
An attractive, gracious and lovely lady, Norma was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. In her last years, she loved pretty flowers and going to lunch. She will be greatly missed.
Norma is survived by sons, John C. Worsley (Alice) Sacramento. CA, Ray C. Worsley (Bonny) Aptos, CA, granddaughter, Jennifer (Ian), Sacramento, CA, great-granddaughter, Claire. Sacramento, CA.
In her last two years, Norma was cared for and watched over with love and kindness by Ileane Swann.
A private service was held at East Lawn Cemetery where she was interned with her loving Albert for eternity.
A special thank you to W.F. Gormley & Sons for their excellent help and services.
