Maxine Willoughby Kelly

Passed away on February 6, 2010, at the age of 87. Maxine was born on July 18, 1922, in Walnut, Ohio. She graduated from Madison Township High School, where she excelled at both basketball and baseball. She met her future husband Charles Kelly, while they worked together at the Columbus Dispatch. Together they raised two children, Colin and Colleen. After raising her children she went back to work and retired as a Senior Legal Secretary from the Franchise Tax Board in 1987. She is survived by her sister Lucile, her son Colin and daughter-in-law Cyndy, her daughter Colleen and son-in-law Douglas Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews. Although she has moved on, for those who were fortunate enough to have known her, she will always be remembered for her love of life, her warm heart, her kindness and understanding. She will truly be missed. She also will be missed by her cat Cuddles. Friends are welcome to call for visitation starting on Thursday, February 11, 2010, from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at EAST LAWN MORTUARY and are invited to attend graveside services at 2 p.m. in Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, ph.
