Maxine Jacobs-Williams, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.
Maxine is survived by her husband Michael; her children, Asia and Alexis; her stepchildren, Joeb and Nigel; her mother, Christine; her siblings, Washington and Madelyn; and her grandchildren, Brenden and Mila. All of these people she loved and touched tremendously.
Maxine was born in San Francisco, California on November 13, 1954 to Christine and the late Washington Jacobs. She spent several years working in a helping profession in which she cared for others in multiple settings. On July 5, 1997, she married Michael in Reno, Nevada. Her family were the most important part of her life.
Maxine was a loving, caring, and devoted mother/wife/grandmother. She enjoyed watching sports, socializing with others, singing while listening to music, and watching movies. She was uplifting, encouraging, positive, often laughing, and her smile would light up the room. She was a beautiful person with an amazing soul who greeted all with warmth and acceptance. She was a God-fearing woman who believed in Christ and God’s plan. She was dedicated in her faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her, as she impacted all those she met.
A funeral service will be held at 6pm on June 21st at East Lawn Elk Grove. Pastor Bob will officiate. A reception will follow to celebrate and the honor the life of Maxine J.W.
