Pavlacky, Marvin John – Age 97, went to be with his Lord, wife and family on March 4, 2010. Born Nov 23, 1913 in Lusk WY, he and his twin sister Myrrel were the first of eight children born to his Mother Nora and Father John August. The early part of his life was hard scrabble, but he forged a steely work ethic, never letting the struggle rob him of the joy of life. He showed courage by working like a man when barely in his teens. He served his country in the Air Force during WWII, and met his wife while stationed in Ol’Miss. While living in Palmdale he worked on the F102 & F103 fighter jets. Changing times brought challenge and school to learn computers. He became a civil servant and spent 18 yrs as a computer operator, retiring from McClellan AFB. In retirement he worked with the Senior Gleaners , volunteered with his church and helped raise his grand kids. His most treasured possession was his family. Married for 60 years he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth. He is survived by one daughter Betty Ann, three beloved grandchildren Michael, Janel & fiancée Devin, Katherine & husband Tony and great grand daughter Lucy. His life, well lived, is a treasure for all of us who loved him. Funeral & burial services will be held 10 am Saturday March 13th at East Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary in Sacramento, CA. • Betty Ann Wright says:

Dad, I can feel your love. Even now you are standing with your arm around Mom, and you are smiling. You were the best Grandpa ever, to my kids. I will learn how to allow, happy and sad to both be going on at the same time! You were a good steward of your life. I will make an endeavor to do the same.
