My most recent memory of my Aunt Margaret was receiving a lovely Christmas card from her this past Christmas. She included a photo of my Papa, Cirilo, whom she loved very much. Aunt Margaret was the oldest of the siblings and then my dad, who passed away many years ago. I sent her flowers and was going to call but never did; I kick myself for that. Never put off reaching out to say hello to family and that you love them. I have a few memories and will share a another. About three and a half years ago we (Manny and I) took a summer road trip with my brother Junior and sister-in-law, Roxane. We stopped in to visit Aunt Margaret and it was wonderful. We wanted to take her out to lunch, but she insisted on making lunch, which was so delicious. She really knew how to cook. I will miss her and wish I got to spend more time with her. But the memories are in my head and heart and I will always cherish them. Love and hugs to you David and Richard, Your cousin, Charmaine

Our family lived across the street from the Fabila’s and my brothers and I were friends with Richard and David. We had an avocado tree and when Mrs. Fabila found out, she asked me if she could have a few. I took her a whole bunch because I didn’t like them. She took them and made Guacamole and she invited us over to try it. It was GRUBBIN! I haven’t had better since. She was a great cook, and a great lady. Let’s get together and lift a glass to her.
