Lawrence Arthur Wollesen

Lawrence was born on September 5, 1923 in Capa, South Dakota to Arthur and Mary Wollesen, and passed away peacefully on May 28, 2019, at the age of 95.

Larry was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a Medical Technician at a hospital in Japan and at Walter Reed Army Hospital. After leaving the Army, he began a career as a business consultant, which he continued for over 30 years.

Larry enjoyed flying and owned a part interest in a Cessna 182, which he would fly to Sunriver, Oregon, Southern California, and locally around the Sacramento region.

He leaves behind Cora, his wife of 41 years, two step-children, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Deborah O’Niones and Kay Meredith, two brothers, and three sisters.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 8, 2019, at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento. Reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
