Larry Douglas Russell

  • A temporary goodbye to my dear friend Larry. We were best friends for our few years at Terry Parker High School in Jacksonviille Florida and for just a few years after until he moved to Californian, we even went to church camp together in Mississippi. I have so many happy memories of our times together then have been so important to me through the years. I do not remember of us ever having an argument or even disagreement. We were so blessed to have lived in some of the best days of the USA and in such a safe and encouraging community in the Arlington area of Jacksonville. Pranksters we were but not a bad thought toward anyone then. We worked together as bag boys and then cashiers for Winn Dixie in the Town and Country Shopping Center. Some of those after school and Saturdays. No time here to tell some of the great stories of those days.

I wish peace and the best to his dear wife and large extended family who he told me often how important they were to him. Thanks you all for loving Larry back! I wish you all my sincerest condolences.

Last but most important Larry was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ who me both met in our hearts as young boys. This gives me hope, faith and confidence that I will see Larry again in heaven. Goodbye for now Larry!
