Obituary

Kien Cheng dedicated his life to being a loving and gracious husband, Papa, Gung Gung, son, brother and uncle. Born in Chung Shan, China, he moved to Hong Kong where he met his wife Pauline, opened a Tailor Shop, and raised 5 children with whom he later immigrated to America in order to give them greater opportunities. His passions were his grandchildren, big family gatherings, good conversation, searching out tasty Chinese Cuisine at a value price, NBA basketball, and going for walks to run errands. Bravely battling Stage 4 colon cancer for over 5 years to continue creating beautiful memories with his family, he never ceased to enjoy a full and robust life. His display of courage and resolve as he lived out his years amazed and inspired those who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey. He passed peacefully in his sleep to rejoin his wife of 58 years. He will be greatly missed by his five children and their families: Alice and Albert Fong and children Justine and Jared; Stephen Cheng and wife Phung; Nancy and Wayne Szeto and their sons Jeremy and Aiden; Roger Cheng and wife Connie; Barbara and Gary Bhan and their daughter, Giada; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Krystin and Charlie Wang. In addition, he is survived by his older sister Miu Yeen, younger brother Benson Cheng, and younger sister Miu Lum along with their families.
