Kathryn J. Plumb was born September 14, 1941, in Woodland, CA. She passed away peacefully at Rosewood Skilled Nursing Center in Carmichael, CA, on November 30, 2011, from diabetes and other complications. She was the youngest child of the late Claude A. Beagle and Vera G. Brewer. She was also preceded in death by her brother Elden Beagle and sister Veryl Knox. Kathy graduated from El Camino High School. She continued her education at the University of the Pacific; from there, she went on to graduate from U.C. Berkeley in 1959 with two degrees and high honors. After graduation, she began a teaching career in the San Juan Unified School District and became a principal at Rio Americano High School. After retiring from teaching, she pursued a career of over 25 years as a real estate agent and top producer with Davis & Davis Associates. Kathy was a past president of Masters Club of Sacramento Association of Realtors, a past president of Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and Soroptimist International Sacramento North. She was well liked by everyone and received honors too numerous to mention. Kathy is survived by a sister-in-law, Virginia Beagle, and ten nieces in nephews. They were more like sisters and brothers and loved very much. Kathy leaves behind her American Eskimo Spitz dogs, Jumper and Digger and good friend of over 30 years, Joann Sertic. She was interned near her parents at East Lawn Cemetery on Folsom Blvd., in Sacramento, CA. Per her wishes, no services were held.
