Obituary

A 40 year resident of Sacramento, Josefina Feranil Abaya died Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 at Methodist Hospital.

She was born on December 8, 1946 in Canan la Paz, Abra, Philippines the 4th out of 6 children. When she was older, she married and immigrated to the US to seek out a better opportunity to make a good living for herself as well as her family.

She was what you would call a workaholic, as she had so many jobs from working in Alaska, to Mission Uniform Linen. However, she was able to find a good full time job for 19 years at Campbell Soup until her retirement in 2007. After her retirement she spent her time enjoying life; visiting her home in the Philippines, dining with her friends and spending time with her beloved family.

She loved traveling, shopping, socializing, good food, going to casinos, and being with her family. She had a good heart and was also very humble. She was also very selfless, as she would always put others before herself. Her wonderful personality and character struck every person she came across, garnering the respect and love of all of her friends and family.

She is survived by her two sons named Clarence and John, a daughter named Michelle, a stepson named Rodel as well as five grandchildren: Sarah, Sydney, Jayvee, Rogemiah, & Rayamer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as several grandnieces and nephews.
