Hey everyone! What a sad but glorious time. We get to celebrate a really cool guy, his family, and his legacy. I came to know a little bit about Rich through my friendships with Jeff and Virgil – who were each older than me – Virgil was in my sister’s class, and Jeff was what… Two years older. Rich always had one of the nicest places around. With the beautifully maintained yards, to the house and barn. They likely lived there for years before my family moved into the old Dixie George place on Point Plasant Road (Pt. Pleasant & Ed Rau Road) in 1974. It always seemed to me that Darlene and Rich were just meant to be… Every time I’d see them together they looked perfect together. And cool… Rich was cool… He was… You can’t deny it!! And he was pretty damned talented in the shop too! I’d be curious to know how many cars went through his shop over the years… I know two of my hot rods did… My ’69 Chevelle and ’67 Camero. We’ll always have our memories of Rich as well as of he and Darlene (and yes their two boys also!). Their spirits are together… And they’re watching all the goofy things we’re all still doing! LOL! To the entire Yurhe family – you’ve got a quality heritage and linkage – as well as the legacy of your father, grandfather, and friend to reflect upon; to proudly and respectfully cherish and share; to laugh and cry about; but perhaps most importantly… To love! Jeff… Virgil… I love you guys! Always have and always will. And while I don’t think Sharon and I will be able to make it to your Dad’s celebration… We’ll be there in mind and spirit! Rich… Fair they well good servant, for the Lord has called you home, and He is pleased… He is pleased indeed! May God bless you and keep you my friend, forever and ever, Amen.
