I will always treasure the memory of my aunt Jessie. She was the kindest, sweetest woman imaginable. She was not just a wonderful aunt but also was my mother’s best friend for 58 years. I am so grateful to my aunt Jessie and uncle Cruz for remaing in our lives and supporting us after my parents split up. Love, prayers and strength to my cousins & their families and friends

Aunt Jessie will remain in my heart and memory as the most humble, kind, loving and strong woman. I am thankful and honored I was able to provide support for my cousins in this sad time. I pray her memory lives on in those who loved her and were touched by her gentle spirit. God bless my cousins and their families today and always.

It is with a heavy heart I deal with the loss of my Aunt Jessie, but the cherished memories of my life with her, Uncle Cruz and their amazing family brings me to a celebration of life as I embrace the happiness and love I experienced! I think of my youth and the tremendous impact she had on my life, my character, my being…for that I am extremely grateful and will never be able to repay her for making me who I am today! This amazing woman had uncommon strength, passion for life and a loving/caring heart… I will miss you, I will never forget you and most important… I will honor you through my loving dedication to my family… I know you have been reunited with Uncle Cruz and you are once again whole! With all my love, rest in peace my precious Aunt!!!!

The first time I met Jessie was during a First-Grade class project for Thanksgiving – I believe it involved peanut butter and very hot glue guns!! Tammy and Jessie were tag-teaming between Natalie and Cruz’s classes – The two of them were working like a well-oiled machine!  I was running between Bree and Derek’s classes – frantic as usual…We all had so much fun together, and it was the first of many, many class projects, field trips and birthday parties that we three shared through the years – Tammy and I were kindred spirits, and it was a given that we would take on too much when it involved our kids!! But we would laugh our way through and were always successful because we also had Jessie, who would calmly go about picking up the slack – wrangling the boys, fixing food, assembling crafts – the perfect Grandma!! Soft-spoken with a MEGA-WATT smile – she made you happy just to be around her… Such a classy lady – she will be missed but forever in all of our hearts….
