Jim was an alumni of Christian Brothers High School. After high school he moved to Courtland where he worked at Buckley Station as a mechanic. A few years later he met his wife Barbara. After they were married he spent his life on their ranch working and raising a family. Many know Jim as an extraordinary man, a hard-worker and a dedicated farmer in the Delta. He loved his wife and children above all. In his later years, he became a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He had the joy of owning three beautiful bikes that he rode throughout California with his wife. He also served as Director of the Sacramento Owners Group (SACHOG). He was a man of integrity and pride. He taught his children to have strong values and stand up for what they believed in. Many respected Jim but mostly loved him. He left this world suddenly and far too soon. He will be deeply missed.
The Buckley Family will be having a celebration of Jim’s life on Monday, December 22, 2014, 2:00 pm at Oakridge Winery 6100 E. Hwy 12 (Victor Rd.) Lodi, CA 95240. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Project R.I.D.E.
