James Baker

James (Jim) A Baker passed away peacefully on August 1, 2020 after a 5 year battle with cancer. Jim was born February 25, 1947. He graduated from Cal State Los Angeles with a B.A. in Sociology. Jim spent 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He worked 27 years for the California Youth Authority, retiring as Captain of Transportation. He was proceeded in death by his wife Rosa Rivera-Baker, parents John and Frances Baker, sister Pamela Wipf, and brother Steven Baker. Jim is survived by sons Andre and Jose Rivera, daughter-in-law Jessica Rivera, grandsons Xavier and Andre Rivera, and brother Mike Baker along with many more beloved family members. He will live forever in their thoughts and memories.

Service will be held at East Lawn Elk Grove Outdoors in the pavilion Friday August 14th, at 10 am.

Upon entry to the cemetery follow the left road to the pavilion.
