Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue Oros-Kludjian
Jackie Oros-Kludjian, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on February 25, 2018 at age 79. She cherished her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her four children and six grandchildren, who were the great loves of her life. She was surrounded by them upon her untimely passing.
Born in Peoria, IL on March 8, 1938, Jackie was the eldest daughter of John and Edith Oros. She and her family moved to Sacramento, CA in her early childhood and she ultimately graduated from C.K McClatchy High School and studied at American River College where she pursued journalism and the arts. Jackie married her high school sweetheart in 1957 and they had four children. She began her forty-five year career with the Sacramento County Welfare Department as an Eligibility Worker and promoted to Fraud Investigator where she was revered by her colleagues.
She was passionate about her profession and took great pride in serving her community. In fact, she had just been honored by the city of Citrus Heights for her 50-year commitment to the community. Similarly, Jackie’s faith was very dear to her and she was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and the United Methodist Church. She was also a fervent writer, avid traveler, and took great joy in studying her genealogy.
Quite simply, Jackie was the most selfless, loving, and compassionate woman to grace this earth. She independently raised all of her children while working full-time and endured the painful loss of her first child. Despite this, Jackie remained committed to her faith and relentlessly devoted to her family. Her children will always remember their mother’s beautiful soul and her grandchildren will cherish their Nanny’s unconditional love.
Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Citrus Heights, CA on March 8th at 9:30am. She will be laid to rest at East Lawn Memorial Park in Sacramento, CA.
