Nang Manh Phamisith passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in her home in North Highlands, California surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Phamisith was born January 20, 1930 in Pakse, Laos, daughter of the late Hoang Duong and Dang thi Em. Preceeding her in death are her 3 sisters and 1 brother, her husband Bounhom Phamisith, and three of their children. She enjoyed traditional Vietnamese music, cooking and caring for her grandchildren, and laughing with her children through all the family gatherings she so loved to be a part of.
Survivors include 10 children, Thongchanh, Phouangpheth (Khamla), Phoukeo, Phoukham (Anne), Phoungeun (Phetsamone), Phouangsouvanh, Phouangmaly, Phouvang (Phuong), Phouangprachanh, Phouangthip (Pon); and 17 grandchildren, Tony, Jimmy, Viviane (Jeff), Elody, Enjo, Anjali, Anthiva, Tony, Terry, Lalida, Keanu, Aaron, Ashley, Ethan, Holly, Emily, and Alex.
Her life was filled with selfless devotion to her children and grandchildren. Without her love, we’d never know the true meaning of family. She was more than a mother and grandmother. She was a mentor, teacher, and a leader. Now she is an angel watching over us all.
