Herman Edward "Ed" Webb

Beloved Father and friend, Herman Edward Webb, 79, passed away on September 20, 2017 at Windsor Care Center in Sacramento, CA. He was born on December 2, 1937 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Larry Webb and Faye E. Owensby Webb. Ed attended Stockton High School in Stockton, CA. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving for 9 years, attaining the rank of sergeant in Fort Ord, California. He was deployed with the Wolfhounds, the 27th Regiment, to Thailand. They were part of the 25th Infantry Division. After discharging from the army he worked for Firestone Tire Company for years in Salinas and Sacramento, CA. Ed worked as a foreman in the construction industry, working at a number of locations including Rancho Seco for 10 years. He was also part of Labor Union 185 for 40 years in Sacramento, CA. Ed is survived by his wife of 11 years Linda Bergstrand-Webb, his daughter Nicole Moore (Robert) of Port Charlotte, Florida, son Scott Reynolds (Danya) of Chico, CA, son Troy Webb of Benicia, CA, step-son Jonathan Bergstrand of Jacksonville, FL, and first spouse Arline Welles of Florida. Also survived by his siblings, Mike Webb of Colorado, Suzanne Webb of California, and Mark Webb. Cherished Grandfather of Alexandera Thompson Murillo, Laura Hsieh, Rachel Moore, Matthew Moore, Nathan Reynolds, Kyle Reynolds, Elaina Reynolds, Jasper Bergstrand, and 3 great grandchildren, Chandler Hseih, Ein Hsieh and Tristan Moore. Niece Caitlyn Seymore and nephew Cody Brill, and sister-in-law Heidi Brill of Sacramento and numerous family members not mentioned. Ed is preceded in death by his mother Faye Owensby, father Larry Webb, sister Lyn Webb, wife Mildred “Mimi” Webb (2002), and daughter Jenette Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, September 26 at East Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd in Elk Grove, California. Pastor Rick Pierce, member of Sun Grove Church, officiating. A private burial, with military Honors, for the family and close friends will be held at 2 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park at Highway 99 and Harney Lane Lodi, California.
