Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Henry and Charlotte (Dangerfield) Weston. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Fargo H.S. in 1939 and attended U.N.D. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and served with the Signal Corps in the Pacific Theatre – Oahu, Marianes, Okinawa. He returned to the States in 1946 and was honorably discharged at Fort Lewis, Washington. Harry and Adeline (Perman) were married October 20, 1943 in Moorhead, Mn. and made their home in Sacramento, Ca.
Harry worked in the oil industry for many years with Tidewater, Gulf and Signal Oil where he owned his own distributorship. His last job was as Sales Manger with Battery Bill.
He retired in 1983 and took up RVing. Along with family and friends he traveled throughout the West, especially enjoying his beloved Great Basin National Park in Nevada and his annual Fall trips to Arizona and Mexico.
Harry was an avid reader and memorized several poems which he often recited. He loved hiking and being in nature and taught us to respect the Great Outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Masters every April and rooting for the New York Yankees.
Harry had a generous spirit and will be remembered for his many acts of kindness. He will always be our lovable Husband, Dad Grandfather and friend.
Harry is survived by his wife of 70 years, Adeline; sons Bradley (Nancy), Craig; grandson Jeremiah and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister Doris Simmons (Tommy) and infants Scott and Pamela Weston.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 29, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church at 7595 Center Parkway, Sacramento, Ca. at 10:00 A.M. Remembrances can be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
