Obituary

Harold Dean Brooks passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 79 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 8, 1938, in Brawley, CA to John J Brooks who was born in Indian Territory, the future Oklahoma and Grace Kee Brooks from Paris, Arkansas. He leaves his sister Amy Crosslin of Gans, Oklahoma, sister Carrie De Paoli of Manteca, CA, sister Shirley Brown, brother Don Brooks of Modesto, CA and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Harold graduated from Stockton College Lower Division. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to see the world and served three years at Twentynine Palms, CA and Barstow, CA.

Harold was a lighting fixture painter for many years before becoming the company purchasing agent. He took his young family to meet Nancy’s relatives. He worked at Weinstocks as Receiving Supervisor until that job was downsized by a bankrupt company.

He enjoyed many years teaching young boys how to play baseball and sportsman like conduct in Little League and Babe Ruth in Stockton. He loved to travel, play golf, bowl, play baseball and watching Western movies and DVDs.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy and loving sons Christopher of Elk Grove, CA and Ted of Flagstaff, AZ.

Friends and family are invited to the service to be held at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA on Monday, April 3, at 6 P. M. Visitation will begin at 4 P. M. on April 3.

Burial at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery will be private.
