Obituary

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Gladys Santiago Roque, age 70, entered into Heaven’s gates on December 20, 2015 in Sacramento, CA. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life.

She was born on January 9, 1945 to Ismael Roque and Providencia San-tiago in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Gladys is survived by her five children, Yasmin Maria Jimenez of Saudi Arabia, Yolanda Trujillo of Elk Grove, CA, Gladis Yvette Padro-Lindberg of Vacaville, CA, Vidal Padro, Jr. of Florida, and Jeanette Maricely Lopez of North Highlands, CA. She was also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Gladys was loved by many family and friends through out the world. She had a big heart and great smile. She loved to cook Puerto Rican food for her loved ones and made sure you never left hungry. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, Elk Grove, CA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, at 10:00 am at the East Lawn Elk Grove.

Burial will take place in the East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park.
