Gerald James Sullivan

Gerald J Sullivan (Jerry) passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday morning, May 12 2016 from a sepsis blood infection at Kaiser Permanente Hospital of Roseville. He was just shy of his 80th birthday on May 22, 1936. He was a retired bartender who had worked over 40 years in the restaurant and beverage service industry. Prior to that employment, he obtained his Associate of Arts degree in college and had served two years in the United States Army upon graduation from high school in New York.
He is preceded by his beloved wife Kathleen in 2012, whom he was married to for 10 years. His previous marriage was to Terisita (Blanch) Gibler. Jerry is survived by his older brother Mickey in Phoenix, AZ. He also is father to three adult children, Glenn and (Beverly) of Rancho Cordova, CA , Jeff of Fair Oaks, and Toni and (Antolin) of Issaquah, WA.. He has three grandsons, Nathaniel, Dimitri and Joseph. He is uncle to Della, Mickey Jr. and Jimmy. Jerry is also survived by two step children, Jann Layman of North Carolina and Rob Hastings of Orangevale, CA.
A memorial service will be held at the Life Center church in Orangevale, CA on June 20 2016 at 6:00 pm officiated by Pastor Joe Patterson. Jerry will be interred at East Lawn Sierra Hills cemetery. Jerry loved life and was an avid golfer, involved in community theater, and dedicated to his family. He enjoyed several cruises all over the world with his late wife Kate, often partaking in fine wine and Italian food. He will be greatly missed by his family and remembered fondly.
