Obituary

George Reyes Medrano, 82 years of age, passed of natural causes on September 19, 2016 in Sacramento. At the time of his passing, George was surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born, April 23, 1934 in Saticoy, California. He is predeceased by his parents Joe, Jenny and his son, Samuel. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Eva Medrano, and four of their 5 children, Sonny Avila (Connie), Ronald Avila, Joel Avila, and Sylvia Brown (Phil), his brothers, Chris, Mickey, Chino. Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren who affectionately called him “Gramps” and many nieces and nephews. He moved to Sacramento in 1960 and worked for UC Davis for 30 years. In retirement he worked for Washington Unified School District.

Services are scheduled for Friday, September 30 at 4pm at Andrew & Greilich Mortuary at 3939 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Horizon Christian Fellowship, 1300 S River Road, West Sacramento, California 95691
