Obituary

Loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, peaceably passed away at Sutter General Hospital on May 31, 2011. Former owner of American Way Market in North Sacramento, led an active life during his years in Sacramento. As a 12 year old immigrant from China, George strove to become a naturalized citizen and was active in the community. He held leadership positions in Sacramento’s Chinese Golf Club, Chinese Food Dealers Assoc. and Retired Retail Clerks Local 588. He was also an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman. Family and friends would come to our house to enjoy his Special tomato beef chow mein. His quiet demeanor, smile and generosity will be missed. George is survived by sons, Reagan (Robin) and Brandon, his grandchildren, Ryan and Ralston, niece Karen Miyao (who was like his daughter) and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Harry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Home at 4140 Freeport Blvd. at 11 am on June 4, 2011. George will be buried next to his loving wife Gladys of 66 years, at East Lawn Memorial Park.
