George H. Amemiya born January 30, 1919, in Berkeley, passed away peacefully on February 22, 1014. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 65 years, his children: Denise (Dan Lewis) of San Diego, Alan (Linda) of Seaside, Gayle of San Diego and his sister Machiko Ota of Hercules. George was a pharmacist of 40+ years in Cleveland and Sacramento until he retired. He is a member of the Sacramento Buddhist Church, Hiroshima Nikkei-jin-kai, Tanoshimi-kai, and Japanese American Citizens League. He will be remembered for his quiet, gentle, peaceful nature.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento, In lieu of flowers, please offer your donation to the Buddhist Church of Sacramento or to your favorite charity.
