1930 – 2017 It is with great sadness that the family of Francis Christopher Angelo announces his passing at the age of 87 years. He passed peacefully with his wife, Kathie at his side. “Fran” was born in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1930. He was a proud graduate of Penn State and a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Upon graduation, Fran served in the Air Force Strategic Air Command. In 1955, he relocated to California and began his insurance career in San Francisco with Liberty Mutual Insurance. In 1959, along with his wife, Dee, he moved to Sacramento as the RVP for Liberty Mutual. Fran continued a successful insurance career with various Sacramento brokerages until founding Angelo & Hawkins Insurance Inc. in 1975. In 2001, he merged his firm with John O. Bronson Co. Fran was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a member of North Ridge Country Club since 1976. He also was a 25 year member of the Sutter Club. He was a big Steeler fan and loved Nittany Lions football. Fran loved Big Band music, Frank Sinatra, and enjoyed a good cabernet. Fran is survived by his wife, Kathie, his two sons, Mark (Donette) and Christopher (Tunde) and step-son, Scott Frasier. Fran is also survived by four grandchildren: Jenna, Max, Brendan, and Lauren, and his two sisters, Anna Seidler and Mary Frances Adams, and his four nephews and their families. The family especially wishes to thank Andrea Bonfiglio for her compassionate care. Services will be held at the Chapel at East Lawn Memorial Park (Folsom Blvd) on Friday, 9/1/17 at 11am. A Celebration of his Life will follow at Arden Hills Club & Spa at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Francis’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by W.F.
