Eulalia “Lalie” P. Digal, 92, died peacefully on November 27, 2019 in her home in Elk Grove, CA. Lalie was born in Kaua’i, Hawaii on April 14, 1927 to parents; Romualdo and Fortunata Pacatang. In 1932, Lalie, her older sister, Natividad and her parents moved to the Philippines. After their move, Lalie gained two more siblings, Catalino and Basilisa.
In 1948, she married the love of her life, Luis Digal. They were blissfully joined in holy matrimony for 63 years until Luis passed in 2011. Together they built a very close-knit family with 10 children. Luis and Lalie, along with their children moved to California in 1986. Lalie is survived by her two younger siblings, Catalino and Basilisa and her 10 children: Mellie and her husband Jun, Gloria and her husband Raquel, Josie and her husband Remy, Consor and his wife Eve, Zosie and her husband Rey, Annie and her husband Rolando, Nick and his wife Margie, daughter Rio and son Jessie, and Teresa and her husband Wilton. Lalie was also blessed with the love of 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Lalie lived a life full of love by not just her family but with the people who had the pleasure to have known her. Her smile and lively personality never failed to brighten the room.
A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, December 9th from 2PM-8PM and Tuesday, December 10th from 5PM-8PM at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd Elk Grove, CA. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, December 11. Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Elk Grove, CA at 11AM followed by a procession from the church to East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park at 12:30PM with a celebration of life reception to follow at 2PM.
