    Elwood Frank Greer, 90, of Loomis, CA passed away on Saturday (13 Feb 2021) at his home.

    He was born Elwood Frank Greer on 29 Apr 1930 in Sacramento, CA, beloved son of Frank Hill Greer and Ruth Margaret Baccellia. Elwood was one of seven children and was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert George, Harriett Alice, Lucille Margaret, Wallace R., Della Mae, and Ruth Ann.

    Elwood joined the U.S. Army on 17 Jun 1948 in Sacramento, CA and did his basic training at Fort Ord, CA and from there was sent to Tokyo, Japan in September 1948 where he was stationed at Camp Drew from Sept 1948- Jun 1950 where he became a Co. Supply Sergeant. He was also stationed at Camp Drake Tokyo in 1951. He was in the 1st Cavalry division, 61st Field Artillery Battalion B-Battery. On 18 Jul 1950 Elwood was shipped to Korea to fight in the Korean War from Jul 1950 to Jul 1951, where he was a Squad Leader. He received his honorable discharge on 2 Apr 1952 at Ft. Sam Houston, TX.

    Elwood owned and operated a successful janitorial business until his retirement.

    Survived by two daughters, Linda (Greg) Avena, Debra (Denny) Heron, step-daughters, Kim (Mike) Rapier, Kathleen Baccellia, Margot Baccellia, Autumn Baccellia, Virginia (Gino) Ziegler, and one step-son, Brent (Angelica) Baccellia; grandchildren, Tanya and Brad (Kristin) Lawrence; nine step-grandchildren, Shandra (Cory) Roach, Jeremy Forsyth, Joshua (Heather) Koerner, Renay Guliciuc, Brandon Rapier, Franklin Baccellia, Trista Baccellia, Bassam Ibrahim, and Khaled Ibrahim; great grandchildren, Heather Reglin and Shawn Reglin; step-great grandchildren, Ashlynn Forsyth, Koralyn Koerner and Kash Koerner, Emery Roach, and Shawn Roach and Joseph Obeso; and several second great grandchildren.

    Mr. Greer was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Elaine Greer (5 Nov 1956), and late wives, Anna Elaine Barker (29 Jun 2002), and Carolyn Jean Console (3 Aug 2017).
