Obituary

Elizabeth “Lisa” Yamat Reynon of Sacramento, CA went to heaven on her 75th birthday, Thursday, March 15, 2012.

She was born on March 15, 1937 to Lorenzo and Emerenciana Yamat. At the age of 20, she emigrated from the Philippine Islands to the USA. In Sacramento, CA at the age of 23, she met and married the late Urbano “Urby” Reynon in 1959. Lisa became a widow in 1969 with three children.Lisa has lived in Sacramento, Alameda, Reno, and Las Vegas. She has worked various jobs throughout her years, filling each workplace with her exuberant and outgoing personality, from assisting her late sister Maria’s drapery business and B&B Drapery, cleaning federal building offices at night, traveling to Alaska to work at the canneries in the summer, picking pears and grapes in Lodi, to working in casinos in Reno, and Carl’s Jr. in Sacramento.

Lisa loved and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed watching Filipino television programs, going to casinos, playing bingo and mahjong, driving all over California and Nevada to visit family and friends, and on occasion, drove as far as Stockton and San Francisco just to watch Filipino movies and shows. Wherever she went, she always made friends, and was best known for her loving and giving heart. Lisa is survived by three children: Cathy Lorenzo, Antonio Reynon, and Rudy Reynon. She also is survived by six grandchildren: Charil Daniels, Henry Lorenzo Jr., Irene Brown, Emmerine Reynon-Lee, Rudy Reynon, II, and Arielle Lorenzo; and five great-grandchildren: Emilio Lorenzo, Kaielle Daniels, Keanin Brown, Keira Daniels, and one on the way, Lorenzo Daniels. Her viewing will be held 4-8 p.m., rosary at 6 p.m., and vigil at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 22 at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove, CA  95624.   Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, following the burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave. Sacramento, CA  95820 on Friday, March 23.
