Obituary

Elisa Cardiel de Morales, 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 2, 2016, in Sacramento, CA.

She was born on November 16, 1928, to Miguel Cardiel and Benita (Morones) Cardiel at La Escondida, in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. She was the third of five children born to her parents.

Elisa lived in Sacramento for more than 40 years. During most of those years, she lived with her younger sister, Esther. Elisa and Esther loved each other very much and were very close. Throughout her life, Elisa worked in a variety of jobs; but the type of work that gave her the most joy and satisfaction was caring for children. She not only helped to care for and raise several nieces and nephews, but she also took care of numerous great-nieces and nephews. She absolutely loved children; they brought her much happiness and they would always make her smile!

She was preceded in death by her parents: Miguel and Benita Cardiel; siblings: Lasara (Sara), Arnulfo, Celestino, and Esther Cardiel; and several nieces/nephews.

Elisa is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces/nephews, and great-great nieces/nephews.

Elisa was much loved by many who knew her. She was a very quiet, humble, gentle, kind, generous, and caring spirit. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Her spirit will continue to live on in those touched by her love.

Me saluda a mi Mama, Papa, y hermana. Me le pide a Dios que me haga un campito cuando sea Su voluntad. Su sobrina, Esther Harrel

May the Lord bless each and every family member and comfort them during this time. She was a beautiful person as I read she cared for children and that takes someone special God blessed her with that gift. Now she is with Jesus rejoicing with the children.
