Debbie-As I readied for bed, I watched this beautiful video and was in awe of the total lives Eli touched. My goodness what a legacy!! Despite his demons, he managed to bring so much to those he encountered and his lessons will live on in many generations to come. Thank you for being part of my life and the life of my child. May his soul rest in peace. May your children feel his presence with them always and may God hold you all. I will be with you tomorrow in spirit and I hope the day is easy to you as a mother. You are a great one! Much love

  • Debbie (Cooke) Hart says:

Miss you Eli – I am so glad you were able to come up to Seattle and visit my family and I last summer – you are such an integral of so many happy memories at Byers Gymnastics. God Bless you on your journey onward . . .

  • KayLynn and Kara Newhart says:

Debbie, We were so sad to hear of Eli’s passing. Kara and I spent alot of her youth at Byers. It was always apparent the true dedication and caring he had for all of his students. I have been comforted in times of loss by the poem “Miss Me But Set Me Free”. There is a line that says “Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little-but not too long, and not with your head bowed low, remember the love once shared, miss me but let me go”. I hope that in the days ahead these sad days are replaced with the sweetness of fond memories. Prayers for you and your children…

  • The Freitas Family says:

Rest in peace Eli….Our condolences and prayers go out to the family.
